UPDATED ADVISORY ON THE REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILDREN (UNDER 18 YEARS OLD) TRAVELLING THROUGH SOUTH AFRICAN PORTS OF ENTRY
Since 2 April 2019, all foreign children from visa exempt countries are allowed to enter the Republic of South Africa without carrying additional supporting documents such as birth certificates and parental consent letters. Foreign children who require a visa for the Republic of South Africa do not need to carry the supporting documents for inspection at a port of entry since these would be processed together with their visa applications.
