• Two passport photos with white background.
  
  
• Valid Passport with two empty pages for endorsements purposes.
  
  
• Passport must be valid for at least 30 days after the visit to the Republic.
  
  
• Copy of the first two pages of the passport.
  
  
• Return flight booking.
  
  
• Original work certificate from the applicant’s current employer.
  
  
• Confirmation of leave by the employer for the period of the proposed visit to the RSA; or, a letter from the employer confirming the business trip to be undertaken.
  
  
• Where the applicant is self-employed, a copy of their business registration in their name.
  
  
• Statement and or documentation containing the duration and purpose of the visit.
  
  
• Visitors visa:
  
  
• signed letter of invitation with copy of certified identity document or residential status in South Africa.
• Originally certified copy of the host’s South African identity document or an originally certified copy of the host’s passport and residence/work permit.
• Originally certified copy of the attainment of South African citizenship (Certificate of Naturalization).
• All certifications to be done by the South |African authorities (i.e., the South African Police).
  
  
• Business visa: Signed invitation stating the purpose and duration of the stay in South Africa.
  
  
• Proof of financial means to cover living expenses in South Africa in form of a:
  
  
• Last three months bank statements.
  
  
• Last three months’ pay slips (salary advice).
  
  
• In case of minor children (18 years and younger) copy of full birth certificates, written consent from both parents and copies of passport pages (photograph page).
  
  
• Confirmation of a hotel reservation.
  
  
• Documents must be translated to English by a sworn translator.
  
  
• The Embassy may request additional documents during the evaluation process.  
  
  
• The process period for visitors and transit visa takes at least 5 working days provided all the requirements are met.
  
  
• Only complete applications will be accepted and should any supporting documents be missing, the Embassy will not receive the application.

NB!

• Applicants must submit their applications in person as their finger print is taken by the Embassy upon receipt of their documentation.
  
  
• Applicants are also personally required to collect their passports upon the completion of the process.
