Visa Requirements for South Africans

South African citizens can apply for visas at Armenian Embassies in the following countries:

To issue a visa it takes:

a. Normal visa - one week, fees payable USD50;

b. Urgent visa - 3 days, USD76;

c. Extra-urgent visa - 1 day, USD85

Visa requirements:

Tourist visa: a/ valid passport; b/ one filled-in form; c/ one photograph (neither money deposits nor air tickets required)

Business visa: all the above mentioned documents, plus an invitation certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs f Armenia is required

Visum cannot be issued on arrival

Health Requirements

Immunisation against hepatitis A and hepatitis B is recommended for all Central European countries, including Armenia.

Trade Statistics

In 1996 Armenian-South African trade turnover was US$50 m. Actually the trade turnover consisted only of Armenian import of South African diamonds for the Armenian well developed diamond cutting industry.
