Organisations History of
Relations Relations between South Africa and Dominica were established
on 29 April 1998. High Commissioner TH Chiliza presented letters of credentials
to President Vernom Shaw, on 22 August 2001. The High Commissioner also met with
the Minister of Tourism, Transport, and Culture, as well as with Prime Minister
Pierre Charles. The Minister of Culture presented the Mission with a proposal
for exchange visits to South Africa and for expertise related to the cultural
industries. The Honourable Matthew J. Walter, Minister for Community Development
and Gender Affairs attended the Commonwealth Local Government Conference in Pretoria
