History of Relations

Diplomatic relations with El Salvador was established in 1997. South Africa maintains good relations with El Salvador. The South African Ambassador to Mexico, HE Mr M G Ferguson is also accredited as non-residential Ambassador to El Salvador. The accreditation of Ambassador Ferguson to El Salvador enhances the bilateral relations between the two countries.
