Yellow fever and cholera vaccinations are highly recommended. Malaria prophylaxis is advisable.

Climate Info

The climate is tropical with high temperatures which tend to vary little throughout the year. Rainfall is normally abundant in the south (up to 1500 mm) with no distinctive seasons but decreases in the north where it rains during the summer months. Semi-arid in the north-east.

The monetary unit is the Uganda Shilling (UGX), and is divided into 100 cents. The currency is not freely convertible.
