IMPORTANT NOTICE ON VOTER REGISTRATION AT THE SOUTH AFRICAN HIGH COMMISSION 27 – 28 JANUARY 2023

The South African High Commission will be open to assist South African citizens who were not able to register to vote online on 27 and 28 January 2024.

Those wishing to register at the South African High Commission, need to bring with them an (1) original South African identity document and (2) original passport.

Only South African citizens who are not on the voters’ roll are required to register.

NB. If a South African citizen is already registered to vote inside South Africa:

• They need not reregister to vote outside of the country.

• They however will be required to complete an online “NOTIFICATION AND APPLICATION TO CEO FOR SPECIAL VOTES ABROAD” FORM application to indicate that they will be voting outside of the country.

• The online “NOTIFICATION AND APPLICATION TO CEO FOR SPECIAL VOTE ABROAD” FORM application will available on the IEC website on the date of proclamation for a period of 15 days thereafter.

• Citizens can also check to confirm if they are registered on the IEC website at www.elections.org.za.
