The South African Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic, wishes to update South African Citizens in the Czech Republic on the revised working hours as from Monday, 18 May 2020 since some of the restrictions has begun to gradually be lifted. 
  • The Embassy will be opened from Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 13:00;
  • Transferred Officials will report for duty from Monday to Thursday;
  • Locally Recruited Personnel will be divided into two groups to attend to essential duties on a rotation basis also from Monday to Thursday;
  • The Consular Section will remain closed for Immigration matters;  
  • The Embassy will attend to Civic matters by appointment only between 10:00 – 12:00 on Tuesday and Thursdays. Appointments are to be made via email at prague.consular@dirco.gov.za and mobile phone on +420 602 781 235.
The above-mentioned arrangement will be reviewed by Management on a daily basis in line with the coronavirus developments in the Czech Republic and Republic of South Africa.   The primary concern of the Embassy is the health and wellbeing of all personnel and to contribute to the efforts of the Czech Government to prevent, contain and manage the potential spread of the virus.
